Houthoff Buruma advised Man RMF Investments SICAV (the “Fund”), set up in Luxembourg, and Man Investments, the manager of the Fund, on the offering of the shares of its sub fund Man Dynamic Diversified to the public in the Netherlands under the "adequate supervision regime" for non-UCITS funds in the Netherlands. Man Investments is part of Man Group plc, one of the biggest hedge fund managers in the world listed on the London Stock Exchange.

Houthoff Buruma is representing HIT Groep in a procedure regarding a fine of € 518 million in total imposed on 17 steel producers accused of trading that was in violation of the cartel prohibition according to article 101 of the EU Treaty. The steel producers were accused of a price fixing and sharing of the prestressing steel market for a longer period. Hit Groep, which was a holding company of Nedri Staal at the time, received a fine of € 6.9 million. The highest fine of € 276 million was imposed on Arcelor Mittal. The Commission decision is expected within a few weeks.
