Ester specialises in real estate transactions and tenancy law. She has extensive experience in handling complex tenancy law-related cases (particularly commercial tenancy law) and overseeing real estate transactions and turnkey redevelopments. Ester is a member of the Dutch Lawyer’s Association and the Dutch Association of Tenancy Law Lawyers, and regularly gives courses on tenancy law. She also regularly publishes on tenancy law.

Advised Landal GreenParks Holding B.V. on the acquisition of Vakantiemakelaar B.V., the largest specialist in the brokerage of recreational real estate.

Advised a.s.r. real estate on the acquisition – on behalf of ASR Dutch Prime Retail Fund – of a retail portfolio from Phoenix Joint Venture C.V. with a total value of approximately € 100 million.

Houthoff, advised Nationale Nederlanden/Delta Lloyd on the sale of its residential portfolio with a total value of approx..EUR 1,5 billion to Vesteda. The portfolio comprises 6777 houses, whereof 5983 are existing houses and 794 are pipeline projects.

Advised on the acquisition of the shares in the IEF portfolio by a consortium led by CBRE Global Investors (three institutional investors from the Netherlands, plus CBRE Dutch Retail Fund). IEF is a joint venture formed by Bouwfonds Investment Management and IEF Capital. The portfolio consists of 31 Dutch retail properties (mostly flagship stores), including the well-known Dutch retail chains HEMA and de Bijenkorf.

Houthoff advised G-Star Raw on the sale (by way of a sale-and-leaseback transaction) of its logistics centre, located in the harbour of Amsterdam, to Delin Capital Management. It concerns a large distribution centre of approx. 37.000 square metres.
