Jessica specialises in Dutch corporate law and mergers and acquisitions with an international angle. Her work focuses on private equity, venture capital and joint ventures across various sectors. She represents and advises clients that include private equity funds, strategic parties, venture capital investors, and scale ups.

She spent part of 2017 in residency at Houthoff’s London office and later went on a six- month secondment to Brazilian law firm Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr e Quiroga Advogados in Rio de Janeiro in 2018. Since the end of 2020, she has practiced out of Houthoff’s New York office.
Jessica is a member of the International Bar Association and a member of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA).

  • Advised Expedition Growth Capital, a British VC investor, in connection with its investment and associated acquisition of a minority interest in Rentman B.V..
  • Advised Boasso Global, leading provider of ISO tankcontainer depot, maintenance and cleaning, on the acquisition of four Mainport Tankcontainer Services companies.
  • Advised Ariston Holding N.V on the acquisition of CENTROTEC Climate Systems GmbH.
  • Houthoff and Goodwin Protector advised Cennox, a portfolio company of York Capital Management's private equity group, on its acquisition of Lincsafe, Merlin, Cashtester and Secusystems.
  • Advised the New York based private equity firm Crestview Partners, together with Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, on the acquisition of TenCate Grass from Royal TenCate.
  • Assisted GEA in the sale of Royal De Boer Stalinrichtingen B.V. and Japy SAS to Mutares SE & Co. KGaA.
  • Advised the on the Toronto Stock Exchange listed WSP Global Inc., one of the world's leading professional services firms providing engineering and design services to clients in the Transportation & Infrastructure, Property & Buildings, Environment, Power&Energy, Resources and Industry sector as well as offering strategic advisory services, on the acquisition of multidisciplinary consultancy- and engineering firm Lievense

     

  • Houthoff has advised Torqx Capital Partners on its acquisition of the majority of the shares in Sonic International (Hong Kong) Limited. Sonic International (Hong Kong) Limited and its subsidiaries are active in the business of development, marketing, sale and distribution of professional hand tools and storage solutions systems.
  • Houthoff advised Sligro Food Group N.V. with the proposed acquisition of the shares in Exploitatiemaatschappij Wheere B.V. by Sligro Food Group Nederland B.V. This will include the activities of Vroegop Ruhe & Co B.V., consisting of food wholesaler De Kweker, Vroegop AGF and freight company L.A.J. Duncker.
  • Houthoff advised Navitas Capital on the sale and transfer of Partou to KidsFoundation. The owner of KidsFoundation – the English private equity firm Onex – will become the new owner of Partou, together with the Dutch private equity firm Waterland. Partou and KidsFoundation both provide child and toddler care services in the Netherlands, including day care, after-school care and pre-school/early childhood education facilities.
  • Houthoff – together with Sidley Austin LLP – represented Wex Inc., a leading financial technology service provider, in connection with its planned acquisition of EG Group Limited’s GO Fuel Card business. The Go Fuel Card business is headquartered in Breda, Netherlands with approximately 200,000 proprietary cards in circulation across the Netherlands, France, Belgium and Luxembourg.

  • Houthoff advised the shareholders (Waterland Private Equity and management) on the sale of the Infradata group to IK Investment Partners
