  • Advised Bridgepoint Advisers II Limited on its acquisition of the DataExpert group, a leading provider of products and services to combat cybercrime and fraud and deliver forensic and incident response solutions.
  • Advised Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance Nederland on the carve-out of Findio (a provider of car finance products) out of the CACF Nederland group and the sale of Findio to FCA Bank.
  • Advised Lumileds, a global leader in innovative lighting solutions, in its comprehensive financial restructuring. Lumileds emerged from a Chapter 11, resulting in a leadership transition and a funded debt reduction of approximately USD 1.4 billion.
  • Advised Libbey on the sale of its European operations, Royal Leerdam and Crisal Glass, to Anders Invest. Libbey is one of the world's largest glass tableware manufacturers.
  • Advised and represented Finqus B.V. and DSB Bank N.V. (in bankruptcy) on the sale of Finqus' loan portfolio with a purchase price of approx. EUR 1.5 billion to NIBC Bank N.V.
  • Houthoff, together with Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, advised Atlas Holdings LLC on the acquisition of the Permasteelisa Group from LIXIL Group Corporations (Japan).
  • Advised Real I.S. on the acquisition and financing of five newly constructed distribution centres with a total area of 115,000 m² in Europoort Rotterdam from DHG for €142 million.
  • Assisted the shareholders of The Datacenter Group Nederland Holding B.V. (TDCG) with the sale of a majority stake in TDCG to investment institution DWS.

  • Represented, together with Nishimura & Asahi, OAT Agrio Co. Ltd. ("OAT") in the acquisition of Blue Wave Holding B.V., the holding company of Chrysal International. Chrysal is engaged in the field of producing, selling and distributing branded and private label post-harvest flower care and nutrient products.

  • Houthoff has advised IK Investment Partners on the acquisition of a majority stake in 2Connect and its (indirect) Romanian and China based subsidiaries from its founder.

  • Advised on the acquisition of the shares in the IEF portfolio by a consortium led by CBRE Global Investors (three institutional investors from the Netherlands, plus CBRE Dutch Retail Fund). IEF is a joint venture formed by Bouwfonds Investment Management and IEF Capital. The portfolio consists of 31 Dutch retail properties (mostly flagship stores), including the well-known Dutch retail chains HEMA and de Bijenkorf.
