Jurre has been working as an in-house lawyer and attorney-at-law since 2012. He specialises in privacy law, data protection e-commerce (internet platforms) and IT contracting. His practice is diverse, and ranges from advising and contracting to litigation. Jurre acts before courts in the Netherlands (both in civil and administrative law proceedings), regulators such as the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens), the Dutch Advertising Code Committee (Reclame Code Commissie) and various dispute resolution bodies. Jurre also publishes regularly on data protection and e-commerce law in authoritative legal journals in the Netherlands, such as the Dutch Journal for European Law (NtEr) and Intellectual Property & Advertising Law (IER). He is a regulator contributor to the legal journal JBP, which publishes and comments on topical data protection and privacy case law. Jurre has a particular focus on data protection and consumer law in the automotive and mobility sectors, in which many of his clients operate.

Jurre was also winner of the Academy for Legislation’s Thesis Prize in 2012, received a special commendation in the 2012 Molengraaff Thesis Prize, and was winner of the Dutch group of the AIPPI’s VIE Prize in 2013. Jurre is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), the Dutch Privacy Law Association (VPR) (including the subdivision for attorneys-at-law VPR-A), the Dutch Copyright Law Association (VvA) and the Dutch Media and Communication Law Association (VMC).
