Companies create value through organic growth or acquisitions. The alternative is that a company itself is taken over. Mergers and acquisitions are regularly a source of disputes. The rules of the game around takeover attempts are regularly a matter of debate. What makes it interesting is that in these kind of battles a company can be either the prey or the hunter. Different interests have to be carefully balanced and the entire business case has to be taken into account.
