Houthoff appoints three new partners

On 1 July 2019, Houthoff appointed Paul de Vries as partner and Kyoko Tollenaar and Gerrit Oosterhuis as associate partners.

Paul de Vries is a candidate notary in the Corporate/M&A practice group. He specialises in mergers and acquisitions and other strategic corporate transactions, both public and private. He has extensive experience in advising on cross-border restructurings and corporate governance, and setting up joint ventures and complex corporate structures. He advises international companies, private equity parties and financial institutions. Paul regularly publishes and lectures on company law and corporate governance. He obtained his Ph.D. in Company Law from the University of Groningen in 2010.

Kyoko Tollenaar is a candidate notary in the Corporate/M&A practice group. She specialises in corporate law, including national and international mergers, conversions and acquisitions, joint ventures and restructurings. She is also an expert on corporate governance. She advises both national and international listed and non-listed companies, as well as private equity investors. She is also a member of Houthoff's Japan Team.

Gerrit Oosterhuis is a member of the Competition, EU & IP practice group at Houthoff. He specialises in Dutch and European competition law. He has extensive experience with notifications of complex transactions to the competition authorities (ACM and the European Commission) and coordinating these notifications in several jurisdictions. He advises on compliance in complex partnerships, joint ventures and distribution systems. He assists companies in conducting investigations involving cartels and abuse of dominance issues. Gerrit is head of Houthoff's Brussels office.
