Protolabs acquires Dutch start-up 3D Hubs

Protolabs acquired the Dutch start-up 3D Hubs for the purchase price of USD 330 million. 3D Hubs is the Dutch platform for digital 3D printers.

3D Hubs’ activities include the developing, manufacturing and offering of an online intermediary platform where consumers and companies pay to have their 3D designs printed. In 2020, 3D Hubs recorded a turnover of USD 25 million.

Together with Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, Houthoff advised Protolabs on the acquisition. Houthoff's team was headed by Kyoko Tollenaar and included Richard Witvliet, Grafton Cederburg, Anouk Voeten, Florianne van der Woude, Jakelijn Nelen, Anouk Boutens and Joris Vugs.
