On 1 April 2021, Remme Verkerk will be appointed as Professor of Civil Procedural Law at Utrecht University (UU). Remme will hold this part-time position alongside his work as a lawyer in the Litigation and Arbitration practice group.

Remme's multidisciplinary empirical research examines the administration of justice in commercial matters. His research looks at cases in the first instance, but he has a special focus on appeal cases and Dutch Supreme Court proceedings.
