5 August 2021

Siemens Mobility signed an agreement to acquire Sqills, a leading provider of cloud-based inventory management, reservation and ticketing software to public transport operators around the world, for a purchase price of EUR 550 million plus an earn out.

Sqills developed “S3 Passenger”, an outstanding and scalable platform enabling rail and bus operators to replace their legacy reservation systems with a state-of-the-art, online booking system. These systems increase the use and availability of passenger transportation.

The acquisition furthers Siemens' strategy to provide products and services that increase the use and availability of public transportation and is a strong fit with Siemens' growth strategy focusing on digital and software offerings.

The team consisted of Paul de Vries, Michiel Wesseling, Richard Witvliet, Jeanne Beck, Emma Schutte, Grafton Cederburg, Emma Hobma, Jet Stolk, Claire Reynaers, Jeroen van Mourik, Brendan Moloney, Fyrone Denny, Thomas de Weerd, Nicole Bilderbeek, Gerrit Oosterhuis and Jori de Goffau.
