Housing corporation Vestia splits up

Vestia, once the largest social housing corporation in the Netherlands, split into three independent corporations on 1 January: Hef Wonen in Rotterdam, Hof Wonen in The Hague and Stedelink in Delft-Zoetermeer. The transaction included the division of Vestia's real estate portfolio, comprising approximately 65,000 rental units with a value of EUR 11.5 billion.

Houthoff advised Vestia on corporate and real estate law and worked together with AKD, which advised on regulatory matters.

The Houthoff law and real estate team was headed by Paul de Vries and included Thomas de Rave, Noah Graves, Dolf de Jong, Cato van Pelt, Carmen Veerman, Jakelijn Nelen and Marvin Moosa.
