Erik Swaving Dijkstra
Erik specialises in Dutch and international taxation, with a focus on private equity, mergers and acquisitions. He also advises clients on the taxation of Dutch employees and multinationals. Erik regularly publishes on matters related to international tax and employment tax. He is a member of the International Bar Association and the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers.

Houthoff advised Redefine Properties Limited (listed on Johannesburg Stock Exchange) and European Logistics Investment B.V. (ELI) on the sale of 46.5% of the shares in ELI to Madison International Realty and 2% of the shares in ELI to Griffin Real Estate. Houthoff worked in close collaboration with Rymarz Zdort (formerly Weil, Gotshal & Manges) on this matter.
Houthoff has advised Torqx Capital Partners on its acquisition of the majority of the shares in Sonic International (Hong Kong) Limited. Sonic International (Hong Kong) Limited and its subsidiaries are active in the business of development, marketing, sale and distribution of professional hand tools and storage solutions systems.
Houthoff represented IQ V-Tech B.V., a Quadrum Capital portfolio company, in entering into a strategic partnership with Alois Kober GmbH and mother company Dexcko Global through the sale of a 37.5% indirect interest in the VB-Airsuspension and its group companies.
Houthoff advised the sellers on the sale of Mendix to Siemens. Mendix was founded in Rotterdam (2005) by, amongst others, Derek Roos and Derckjan Kruit and offers a low-code software platform for the development and implementation of applications.
