Pushing back climate change is one of the biggest challenges of this century. The developed environment is responsible for approximately 40% of CO2 emissions. This means that significant progress can be made in this sector.

The Breakfast Briefing Climate Change & Real Estate addressed how to make the developed environment sustainable and what questions arise from this (including legal questions), based on current issues. The following topics were dicussed:

• Circular construction
• Building on floating objects (also as a vision of the future for new real estate)
• Labels, certificates for voluntary and mandatory energy-saving measures and subsidies for collective ground energy systems (TES) and solar panels
