Houthoff Employment Briefing

14 November 2017
3:00 PM
The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam

With the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG: Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming) due to enter into force on 25 May 2018, which will tighten up existing laws and regulations, privacy is becoming an increasingly important issue.

From applying for a job to handing in one's notice, each phase has its own privacy issues which the employer and employee need to bear in mind. If the applicant is screened, under what conditions may you monitor your employees and initiate an inquiry, and how do you deal with personnel details?

A panel comprising a professor, a judge and a partner in employment law from Houthoff will shed some light on these aspects based on a particular case. Rixt de Vries, also a partner in employment law at Houthoff and the day's chairperson, will lead the discussion and subject the panel to a series of challenging questions. You are more than welcome to partake in the debate. More audience interaction means a more effective session!
