Erik is gespecialiseerd in nationale en grensoverschrijdende fusies en overnames. Hij adviseert zowel ondernemingen als private equity fondsen. Erik heeft ervaring met het begeleiden van complexe ontvlechtingstransacties. Hij adviseert ook over governance en ESG gerelateerde onderwerpen en heeft daarover diverse artikelen gepubliceerd. Sinds september 2022 werkt Erik op het Londense kantoor van Houthoff.

  • Advised LLP SunMed on its acquisition of Vyaire Medical’s (“Vyaire”) business unit that manufactures and markets respiratory and anesthesia consumables. Houthoff acted alongside Goodwin Procter on this deal advised on the Dutch elements of the transaction. 
  • Advised Corus Europe B.V., a leading laboratory group active in the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, France and Portugal in expanding their dental laboratories in the Netherlands and Belgium.
  • Advised Libbey on the sale of its European operations, Royal Leerdam and Crisal Glass, to Anders Invest. Libbey is one of the world's largest glass tableware manufacturers.
  • Advised Signadens Europe B.V, a leading laboratory group in the Netherlands and Belgium, on its agreement to consolidate its business with Corus, one of the largest dental laboratory groups in Spain, France and Portugal.
  • Advised Bosch Rexroth on the sale of its Large Projects business to Van Halteren Group. Bosch Rexroth is an internationally operating group specialized in mechanical and installation engineering solutions using advanced technologies and extensive industry knowledge.
  • Advised the LOI, one the largest private educational institutions in the Netherlands, on the sale of the nearly 100-year-old family business to the NCOI, one of its close competitors.
