On 17 May 2022 we will host, together with the Competition Law section of the Nederlands genootschap van Bedrijfsjuristen (NGB) (the Dutch Association for In-house Counsel), the webinar 'The revised competition rules for vertical agreements'.
It is expected that as of 1 June 2022, the new – presently still draft – Block exemption regulation for vertical agreements and the associated guidelines will replace the present block exemption regulation (EU Regulation 330/2010) and associated guidelines on vertical restraints. These competition rules for vertical agreements enable undertakings to assess whether their vertical agreements such as distribution, franchise and agency agreements can qualify for an exemption from the cartel prohibition. Rick Cornelissen and Lumine van Uden will discuss the most important amendments regarding the different forms of distribution, e-commerce, online market places, agency agreements, dual distribution and other matters.
