Paul is a candidate civil-law notary in the Construction and Real Estate team. He specialises in notarial real estate law and advises on matters such as commercial real estate transactions, project (re)developments, real estate financing and other real estate-related contracts. Paul is a member of the Royal Dutch Association of Civil-law Notaries.
  • Assisted Credit Suisse Asset Management Global Real Estate in the acquisition of a newly developed distribution centre for Jumbo in Bleiswijk. The seller, Somerset, retains a 10% interest in the business.
  • Advised Real I.S. on the acquisition and financing of five newly constructed distribution centres with a total area of 115,000 m² in Europoort Rotterdam from DHG for €142 million.
  • Advised Commerz Real on the sale of its office portfolio consisting of six office buildings to Tristan Capital Partners for approx. €370 million. Tristan Capital Partners has acquired the portfolio on behalf of its core-plus fund CCP 5 LL.
  • Assisted ShoppingParks N.V., Terzetmus B.V., Kempen & Co N.V. and KBC Securities N.V. with the successful accelerated bookbuild offering of 750,000 shares in the capital of Retail Estates N.V., a Belgian publicly listed real estate company. ShoppingParks N.V. and Terzetmus B.V. are two closed-end Dutch real estate funds managed by Freeland.

  • Houthoff advised G-Star Raw on the sale (by way of a sale-and-leaseback transaction) of its logistics centre, located in the harbour of Amsterdam, to Delin Capital Management. It concerns a large distribution centre of approx. 37.000 square metres.
  • Advised La Salle Investment Management regarding the acquisition of the Bright Offices in Amsterdam. The acquisition took place on behalf of the French pension fund ERAFP, being the first acquisition for ERAFP on the Dutch Real Estate Market.
  • Houthoff advised CBRE Global Investors (NL) B.V. regarding the acquisition by DRES Master Fund / REI Netherlands of the Project Boompjes 55-58 in Rotterdam, a new real estate development of 344 residential units, parking spaces and commercial space. The seller is First Sponsor (a real estate developer / investor from Singapore) together with Provast (a Dutch real estate developer).
