Sophie is an associate in the Corporate M&A practice group. She specialises in corporate law and is involved in both national and cross-border mergers and acquisitions.

She previously worked in the Public Law, Investigations & Corporate Crime practice groups.

Qualifications and Experience

  • LL.M. Company Law (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam)
  • LL.B. Law (Utrecht University, Utrecht Law College)
  • Advised Titan, a leading independent liquified biomethane (LBM/bio-LNG) and LNG supplier to the maritime and industrial sectors, on a successful funding round leading to InfraVia obtaining (through one of its investment vehicles) a 45% equity stake in Titan.
  • Advised the (future) 50/50 joint venture between Sasol and Topsoe on the establishment and signing of a joint venture agreement solidifying both parties' commitment to produce sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) and contribute to global efforts in combating climate change. 

  • Advised Atlas on its sale of Aludium, a leading aluminum rolled products business with operations across three locations in Europe.
  • Advised Sligro Food Group on the acquisition of the majority of wholesaler Metro’s activities in Belgium

  • Advised Dusseldorp Automotive B.V., a Dutch BMW- and MINI dealer, on the acquisition of the VMD Group from Autobinck Group.
  • Assisted global semiconductor player Nexperia with its acquisition of Netherlands-based Nowi Energy
  • Advised CGN Europe Energy SAS on its sale of all shares in Windpark De Hondtocht B.V. and Oldebroekertocht B.V. to the group companies of Pure Energie B.V.
