Houthoff appoints new representative in Houston

As of 15 February Caroline ten Cate is appointed as the firm's Houston representative (TX, USA). Caroline started her career as a lawyer 11 years ago, focusing on insolvency law and working in the restructuring practice.

As a representative, Caroline will be responsible for consolidating our ties with clients and firms who are doing, or aiming to do business in the Netherlands. This will allow us to create new alliances and strengthen our network in the Houston area.

Houston: the undisputed energy capital of the world

The Houston metropolitan area is not only the world leading economic and knowledge center for energy and petrochemicals, it is also evolving as a hub for industries like health tech. For these reasons, we appointed our first Houston representative in 2017. Michiel Pannekoek, Chief International Officer at Houthoff: "Being present, having someone there for our clients, has paid off. The energy transition that the world is in makes Houston an even more important economic force than it was before." Caroline moved to Houston in 2018 and has a thorough knowledge of the region.
