Corre Energy has offered and issued new shares to institutional, qualified and a limited number of retail investors in Ireland and the United Kingdom and has raised around EUR 12 million.

Established in 2018, the renewable energy company is focused on the development, construction and future operation of grid-scale underground storage facilities, as well as the production and sale of green hydrogen.

Corre Energy, which is currently in development phase, will use renewable electricity to store compressed air in underground salt caverns, which can subsequently be combined with green hydrogen stored in co-located caverns to fuel the generation of electricity.

The raised funding will be used to accelerate the development of an existing pipeline of 11 European Union designated projects across the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark.

Houthoff assisted Corre Energy B.V. with the intial public offering. The team consisted of Jetty Tukker, Emma Schutte, Jasmijn Harms, Valerie Denswil, Anouk Boutens en Margot van Herwerden.
