Laurens works as a candidate civil-law notary in the Real Estate practice group. He works on matters concerning real estate transactions and financing, the establishment of real rights and divisions into apartment rights.

In 2018, Laurens received his Ph.D. from Leiden University and his dissertation was titled ‘The Priority Rule in Property Law’. He regularly gives postgraduate classes and gives lectures at Leiden University.
