Paul is a candidate civil-law notary in the Construction and Real Estate team. He specialises in notarial real estate law and advises on matters such as commercial real estate transactions, project (re)developments, real estate financing and other real estate-related contracts. Paul is a member of the Royal Dutch Association of Civil-law Notaries.
Houthoff advised La Salle Investment Management regarding the acquisition of the Bright Offices in Amsterdam. The acquisition took place on behalf of the French pension fund ERAFP, being the first acquisition for ERAFP on the Dutch Real Estate Market.
Wereldhave acquires 9 shopping centers in the Netherlands. Houthoff advised Wereldhave, a Dutch listed real estate investment company with commercial property of around EUR 3.3 billion, on the EUR 730 million acquisition of 9 shopping centers in the Netherlands from its French competitor Klépierre. The shopping centres were part of Corio's portfolio and were recently taken over by Klépierre. Wereldhave is financing the deal by issuing up to 5.25 million new shares. In addition, existing credit facilities will be evaluated. The transaction is expected to close before the end of 2015.
Houthoff advised G-Star Raw on the sale (by way of a sale-and-leaseback transaction) of its logistics centre, located in the harbour of Amsterdam, to Delin Capital Management. It concerns a large distribution centre of approx. 37.000 square metres.
Houthoff advised a consortium consisting of, amongst others, Biesterbos, Reggeborgh and Het Fort on the EUR 76,25 million sale of a large Amsterdam based office building with an office space of 32.000 m² and 438 parking spots, to Israeli based investment company Zabar Group Investments and Menora Mivtachim. The building is currently leased to HEMA (headquarters), VNU and Multisafe Pay.
Houthoff advised CBRE Global Investors (NL) B.V. regarding the acquisition by DRES Master Fund / REI Netherlands of the Project Boompjes 55-58 in Rotterdam, a new real estate development of 344 residential units, parking spaces and commercial space. The seller is First Sponsor (a real estate developer / investor from Singapore) together with Provast (a Dutch real estate developer).
ETV Groep sold the former TNO location in Apeldoorn, for extensive area development, to property developer DW Investments. In the years to come around 275 luxury detached and semi-detached houses will be built in the area. This is an extensive area transformation with around 70,000 m2 of office space being withdrawn from the market.
Assisted ASR Dutch Prime Retail Fund in the sale of Shopping Centre De Klanderij in Enschede to a fund of the German investor Union Investment Institutional Property GmbH. The transaction value is approximately €118,000,000.
