Tadano Faun GmbH has acquired its Dutch and Belgian distributors (Waterland Trading B.V. and Waterland Trading B.V.B.A.) from Waterland Trading Vastgoed B.V. Tadano Faun GmbH is part of Tadano Global, listed in Japan. Tadano is amongst others involved in the production and sale of cranes. Tadano has approximately 3000 employees worldwide and a net profit of almost 2 billion US dollar.
Tadano was advised by Houthoff in this matter, with the assistance of its Belgian Lex Mundi Partner Liedekerke Wolters Waelbroeck Kirkpatrick.
Houthoff has advised Smart Holding B.V. in a transaction whereby Smart Holding agreed on the acquisition of all outstanding shares in the capital of Mascot Europe B.V. from its shareholder MagVat Holdings B.V.
Both Smart Holding, via its subsidiary Nedac Sorbo B.V., and Mascot Europe are, together with its respective affiliates, active as wholesalers in consumer goods.
Houthoff represented Bregal Freshstream LLP, a UK-based private equity fund of Bregal Investments LLP, on the acquisition of a minority stake in Euro-Caps Holding B.V., a Netherlands-based company engaged in the manufacturing of private label coffee capsules.
Houthoff advised Attestor Capital LLP in the purchase of approximately 75 real estate loans from ABN AMRO with a combined nominal value of over EUR 200 million.
Houthoff collaborated with BBC Bouwmanagement, Basis Bedrijfshuisvesting and Biltmore Vastgoed Consultants to assist Patrizia Immobilien with the purchase of 164 apartments under the name Oranjekwartier from Bouwconsulting Beheer. The purchase price of the complex was EUR 66 million.
Oranjekwartier, which is located on the Koningin Wilhelminaplein in Amsterdam, consists of three residential buildings and has been fully let. Patrizia had purchased the residential complex under instruction from two institutional investors who wish to retain the units in the long term. Oranjekwartier's developer Bouwconsulting Beheer handed over the complex in 2009.
Oranjekwartier has a total surface area of 18,000 m2, divided into three buildings. Buildings A and C have a retail area, a restaurant and a crèche on the ground floor. The apartments range between 90 and 150 m2 and feature fully equipped kitchens. The residential towers are situated next to the Westlandgracht and close to Oud-Zuid.
Paul, Weiss together with Houthoff advised Apollo Global Investment in the 80.1% interest in Lumileds, a leading supplier of LED components and automotive lighting. Philips will retain the remaining 19.9% interest in Lumileds.
