Family business Büter enters into acquisition agreement with NPM Capital

Büter, a leading player in the European hydraulics industry, sells its shares to NPM Capital, the investment arm of the family-company SHV Group. With this transaction, NPM Capital will acquire Büter from the Büter family. The company will continue to operate independently under NPM’s ownership, and the transaction remains subject to customary regulatory and antitrust approvals.

Büter, founded in 1965 and headquartered in Emmen (NL) with additional production sites in Haren and Meppen (Germany). The Company employs approximately 550 people across its three locations. Over the past six decades, Büter has built hundreds of patents and utility models in the cylinder and lifting-technology domain. NPM is an independent investment partner that helps mid-sized and large companies headquartered in the Benelux or DACH regions to realise their ambitions and build the businesses of the future.

Houthoff advised the shareholders of Büter Group in connection with its sale to NPM Capital. The team, led by Bram Caudri, further consists of Ivar Brouwer, Sam Vermeeren, Diede van der Voort, Jeroen van Mourik, Selma de Jong, Zinke Lansink, Fleur Tuinzing, Gerrit Oosterhuis, Felix Geerebaert, Sjors Panis, Stijn Harder, Jan Willem de Groot, Pam de Haas and Cathelijn de Bruin.
