Employers are usually asked to submit an employer’s report on the circumstances of the accident within 15 days of their notification. By doing this, the NLA seeks to gain more insight into the specific causes of workplace accidents and motivate employers to effectively improve working conditions.
Houthoff has successfully assisted various clients to date in drafting and executing employer’s reports. In our experience, employers often encounter difficulties during drafting, particularly because they are uncertain which elements they must include in their reports. Incomplete reports can prompt NLA enforcement, which can have considerable financial, commercial and even criminal consequences. That is why our experts on the Houthoff Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Team have drafted a one-pager with some practical advice and tips. This document reflects the extensive expertise and experience the team has accumulated through successfully advising employers on drafting their employer’s reports.
