Vitol and IFM Investors acquired Buckeye Partners' 50% equity interest in VTTI

Vitol and IFM Investors have agreed to acquire Buckeye Partners' 50% equity interest in VTTI, the leading global independent provider of energy storage. After completion, VTTI will be owned 50% by IFM Investors and 50% by Vitol.

Vitol is an energy and commodities company; its primary business is the global trading and distribution of energy products. IFM Investors is a global institutional funds with approximately USD 82 billion under its management on 30 September 2018.

Vitol was advised by Houthoff, in close cooperation with Vinson & Elkins RLLP. IFM Investors was advised by White & Case LLP. Buckeye Partners was advised by Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, and De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek.
