Hendrik advises on commercial real estate transactions, development and redevelopment projects, and the property law structuring of real estate.

In 2015, Hendrik received his Ph.D. with distinction from Leiden University with a property law dissertation on conditions subsequent and conditions precedent titled ‘The condition in property law’ (‘De voorwaarde in het vermogensrecht’). He regularly teaches, including at Leiden University, and publishes on various property law subjects.

  • Advised Achmea Real Estate and NLV on the purchase of a total of 822 rental homes in De Sax in Rotterdam, a skyscraper in the shape of a saxophone.
  • Advising a.s.r. on the division of Amvest’s real estate activities. Pensioenfonds Zorg en Welzijn (PFZW) will acquire a.s.r.'s shares in the management and development organisation as of 1 January 2026 and will become the sole shareholder of Amvest Vastgoed B.V. Amvest's current development portfolio will be divided between PFZW and a.s.r.
