Jessica den Dekker

Jessica heads Houthoff’s New York office and specialises in Dutch corporate law and mergers and acquisitions with an international angle. Her work focuses on private equity, venture capital and joint ventures across various sectors. She represents and advises clients that include private equity funds, strategic parties, venture capital investors and scale-ups.

She spent part of 2017 in residency at Houthoff’s London office and later went on a six-month secondment to the Brazilian law firm Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr. e Quiroga Advogados in Rio de Janeiro in 2018. Since the end of 2020, she has practised out of New York, where she is registered as a Foreign Legal Consultant.

  • Advised the French Sogestran group, as part of a consortium of law firms led by Jeantet (France), on its acquisition of Reederei Jaegers GmbH, a German shipping company specializing in inland waterway liquid bulk transport.
  • Advised Recharge.com, the European leader in prepaid payments, on its acquisition of Giftcloud Limited from Groupon, Inc. (NASDAQ: GRPN), marking a strategic and accelerated expansion into the fast-growing B2B rewards space.
  • Advised Boasso Global, leading provider of ISO tankcontainer depot, maintenance and cleaning, on the acquisition of four Mainport Tankcontainer Services companies.
