Joosje advises Houthoff on privacy, data protection and the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In addition, she focuses on complex issues at the interface of law and technological innovation and development, such as information security, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI).
As data protection officer (DPO), she is responsible for ensuring compliance with privacy regulations at Houthoff. Joosje is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E). She is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and the Privacy Law Association (Vereniging Privacy Recht). In 2024, Joosje achieved a joint second place in the Dutch Data Protection Authority’s first thesis competition with her master’s thesis Data and the City.
