Mobility under the Environment and Planning Act

Under the old law, mobility assessments often focused on parking spaces for cars and bicycles, assessing whether there was any shortage of parking spaces and to what extent new developments could affect this. In the EPA, however, mobility features more prominently and will play an explicit role at every administrative level. Property developments and other types of projects will have to accommodate more mobility aspects than is currently the case.

Our Mobility factsheet therefore discusses mobility's changing role. In addition, it addresses various other mobility rules and obligations (new and old), such as the obligation to register commuting and business travel.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact one of our experts: Monica Sonderegger, Rick van der HulleEva Struik or Pepijn Smits.
The factsheet is available in Dutch. If you would like an English translation, please contact omgevingswet@houthoff.com.
