Houthoff is proud to announce that Jeroen van Mourik joined the firm as partner in the Tax practice group. Jeroen has more than 15 years of experience advising multinational clients (mainly Asian and US) on the Dutch corporate and international tax aspects of cross-border investments, reorganisations and mergers and acquisitions.

For the past three years, Jeroen has been working for EY in Hong Kong, where he was the Dutch & European Tax Desk Leader for Asia. Prior to his partnership at EY, Jeroen worked at Loyens & Loeff and enjoyed secondments to top firms in Chicago, London, Tokyo and Sydney.

"With the arrival of Jeroen, we are further strengthening the position of Houthoff's Tax Team. Our Asia practice is expanding and we trust that with Jeroen's vast knowledge of the Asian market, Houthoff's Tax Team will become even stronger." – Sylvia Dikmans, Partner and Houthoff Tax practice lead.

Expansion of Houthoff's Tax Team

Houthoff's Tax Team was ranked as Tier 1 by the Legal 500 last spring. In the first half of this year, Rezan Ökten (Counsel, Transfer Pricing), Koen Bolink (Senior Associate, Tax Lawyer) and Brendan Moloney (Associate, Tax Lawyer) also joined the Houthoff Tax Team.

Jeroen's arrival will only accelerate developments in the Tax Team. Jeroen specialises in the application of tax treaties and BEPS. He is experienced in negotiating Advance Tax Rulings with the Dutch tax authorities. He advises private equity clients and financial institutions, as well as clients in the automotive, TMT and consumer products industries.
