Sarah Meesterman

Sarah focuses on insolvency law and restructurings. She advises bankruptcy trustees, directors, creditors, debtors and other parties on complex international restructurings and various insolvency and pre-insolvency situations. In addition, Sarah is regularly appointed as a bankruptcy trustee by the Amsterdam District Court. She is also involved in proceedings under the Court Approval of a Private Composition (Prevention of Insolvency) Act (Wet homologatie onderhands akkoord, or WHOA) and assisting colleagues in the winding up of companies.

In addition, Sarah formerly worked in the Litigation and Arbitration practice groups, where she handled and advised on complex national and international proceedings, including commercial, financial and insolvency disputes.

  • Advised an ad hoc group of secured lenders to Tupperware Brands Corporation who successfully completed the acquisition of certain key assets of the Tupperware Group, including global rights to the Tupperware brand name and related intellectual property as well as operations in core geographic markets.
