Bas is a lawyer in the Corporate/M&A practice group, focusing on corporate law and energy law. He is involved in national and international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, projects and other partnerships in the energy and manufacturing sectors. Additionally, Bas specialises in negotiating and drafting commercial contracts for projects and project development.
In 2023, Bas was seconded to a client for several months, where he worked as legal counsel. His work there included advising on and negotiating an equity raise at holding company level and the commercial contracts in the context of a bio-LNG project yet to be realized. Also in 2023, Bas successfully completed the Energy Law Course on Location and published his article “Is the amended Mining Act ready for the transition from offshore gas extraction to offshore CO2 storage” in the Dutch Journal of Energy Law.
In 2024, Bas was seconded to a friendly, top-tier Spanish law firm, where he worked in the corporate energy team as part of an international secondment program.
