Naomi is counsel in both our Employment & Pensions and Supreme Court Litigation teams. She has over twenty years of experience in two mutually reinforcing specialisations: employment law and Supreme Court litigation (cassation). For a number of years, she has also been litigating pension cases, both before the Supreme Court and in the lower courts, a distinctive combination that is not often found.
In her employment law practice, Naomi primarily advises employers, ranging from national mid market companies to international corporations. Her work covers the full spectrum, from hiring to dismissal and everything that comes before, in between and after. Her approach is practical and solution oriented: a negotiated outcome where possible, litigation where necessary.
Her cassation practice focuses on employment law, pension law, medical liability law and transport law. Drawing on that cassation experience, she is also regularly engaged to advise during appeal proceedings, whether or not with a view to subsequent proceedings before the Supreme Court.
In 2026 Naomi completed the Certified Pension Lawyer program cum laude, with a thesis on the Supreme Court’s pension cassation case law over the period 2000–2025, illustrating how employment law, pension law and cassation converge in her practice.
In addition, she publishes regularly. She writes the cassation chronicle on employment law in the Tijdschrift Recht en Arbeid (TRA) and is co author of the handbook Cassatie in the Burgerlijk Proces & Praktijk series. She also teaches for various institutes in the fields of employment and appellate procedural law and limitation periods.
