Isabella Wijnberg is a senior associate at Houthoff in Amsterdam. Houthoff is defending a leading commodity trader in class action litigation in the Netherlands against more than 100,000 claimants in the Ivory Coast. The team successfully defended the company at the Amsterdam District Court. It will continue to defend the company in the appeal. Houthoff successfully defended the company in another class action submitted by a different mass claim vehicle at the Amsterdam District Court and the Amsterdam Court of Appeal.
Advising and assisting a large international employment agency in reaching a settlement regarding the termination of their relationship with a global logistics company.
Representing large charitable organisations in a litigation concerning the allocation of an inheritance of approximately €26 million. The team successfully defended the organisations in the District court.
Assisting a well known Dutch theatre in a dispute with their former parking provider. The garage operator started proceedings claiming that the theatre was not allowed to terminate the relationship. Research showed the claim was based on falsified e-mails. The claim was rejected.
