Jet specialises in employment law. In addition to individual employees (mainly directors and senior management), she advises Dutch and international companies on all aspects of employment law. Jet has extensive experience in the laws governing both individual and collective termination, EU employee participation programmes and all forms of reorganisation. She also advises clients on employee participation and reorganisations as part of or following an M&A or refinancing process.

  • Houthoff assisted Royal IHC in the sale of its subsidiary Vremac Cylinders to Vydraulics. Vremac Cylinders is a modern designer and manufacturer of hydraulic cylinders, swivels and piston accumulators. Its products are designed to operate in harsh conditions in the dredging, offshore, civil engineering (bridges and lock gates) and heavy machinery markets.

  • Advised Sandd in the sale and transfer of Sandd to PostNL for an amount of EUR 130 million. This transaction resulted in the acquisition of almost the entire postal market by PostNL.

  • Houthoff represented the shareholders of Boal in the sale of a majority stake in Boal Group to Equistone Partners Europe. Headquartered in Naaldwijk, the Netherlands, BOAL Group has 48 years of experience in designing and manufacturing aluminium roofing and sidewall systems for greenhouses and holds a market leading position in the horticultural greenhouse industry. It also supplies the construction, engineering, and transport sectors with aluminium extrusions.
  • Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., the world leader in serving science, acquired Phenom-World, a leader in desktop scanning electron microscopy (SEM) solutions. Thermo Fisher will integrate the business into Thermo Fisher's Analytical Instruments segment. Based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, Phenom-World delivers desktop SEMs, and imaging and analysis packages, for research and industrial markets. The addition of Phenom World's leading desktop SEM platform strengthens Thermo Fisher's leadership in electron microscopy.
  • InsingerGilissen Bankiers N.V. ("InsingerGilissen") and Lombard Odier (Europe) S.A. ("Lombard Odier") have entered into an agreement with regard to the acquisition by InsingerGilissen of Lombard Odier's Dutch private banking business. Upon closing of the transaction, the entire Amsterdam-based Lombard Odier staff will join InsingerGilissen, increasing assets under management by roughly EUR 1 billion.
  • Sale of all shares in the capital of Regenboog Participaties B.V., ultimate parent of the BMC Group to Yacht Group Nederland B.V., subsidiary of Randstad.
  • Houthoff advised Oerlemans Foods Nederland B.V./H2 on the sale of its frozen potato processing division to Lamb-Weston/Meijer V.O.F. through a sale of all shares in Oerlemans Foods Nederland B.V. to Lamb-Weston/Meijer V.O.F.
  • Houthoff represented Hearst Corporation and its Dutch subsidiary Hearst Netherlands, publisher of among others, Quote, Esquire, Elle , Harper's Bazaar and Cosmopolitan, in the acquisition of the publisher of the Dutch editions of , among others, Vogue, Glamour, National Geographic, Quest and JAN.
