BAM strengthens position in the housing market with acquisition of Gebroeders Blokland

30 January 2026

Royal BAM Group N.V. and the shareholders of Gebroeders Blokland announced that they have reached an agreement regarding the acquisition of Gebroeders Blokland, an integrated residential property developer and builder based in Hardinxveld-Giessendam. The acquisition will further strengthen BAM’s position in the Dutch residential property development and construction market.

Gebroeders Blokland brings a strong portfolio of land positions and residential projects across South Holland, Utrecht, Gelderland, and North Brabant. The portfolio comprises land and building rights for approximately 2,400 homes, primarily located in suburban areas. Gebroeders Blokland generated revenue of circa €95 million in 2025, with EBITDA of circa €10 million.

Combining BAM’s expertise with Gebroeders Bloklands strong regional presence unlocks meaningful growth opportunities. Together, the companies can pursue joint sales, acquire development and construction projects, expand their combined network, optimise project portfolios, and apply BAM’s Flow housing concept to suitable Gebroeders Blokland developments.

Gebroeders Blokland will continue to operate independently under its own name. Completion of the transaction is subject to approval by the Dutch Consumer and Market Authority (ACM).

Houthoff advised Royal BAM Group N.V. on this transaction. The Houthoff team, led by Lucas Louwerier, Grafton Cederburg and Rosalie van der Sluis, consisted among others of Annellyke Mellema, Christine Dom, Aimée de Goede, Floris Hekkens, Paulien van der Meer, Julie Luitwieler, Lotte van Maren, Marco Moeskops, Lucy de Graaf, Myrthe Prinsze, Floor Kuiper, Roxanne Mulder, Marije Verweij, Lindy van Staalduinen, Klaas Valkering, Sjors Panis, Stijn Harder, Amber Meinen, Yvo de Vries, Mika Hermans and Clément Vervoort.
