3 June 2026

Dümmen Orange and Syngenta Flowers, two global players in ornamental breeding and propagation, have signed an agreement to establish a strategic joint venture. This partnership represents an important step forward for both organisations as they work together to better serve growers around the world.

By combining their respective businesses, they create a stronger global player in the horticulture sector. The joint venture will integrate Syngenta Flowers with Dümmen Orange’s operations, combining Dümmen Orange’s expertise in cut flowers and Syngenta’s leadership in seed varieties, along with annual, perennial and potted plant portfolios that both companies have built over decades.

Both boards of directors have formally approved the deal, and completion of closing is subject to any necessary regulatory approvals.

Houthoff advised Dümmen Orange on this transaction. The Houthoff-team, led by Bram Caudri, consisted of André de Neve, Gerrit Oosterhuis, Jasmijn Harms, Jeroen van Mourik, Richard Witvliet, Anouk Boutens, Fleur Tuinzing, Jeanne Beck, Lotte de Bruin, Myrthe Prinsze, Felix Geerebaert, Zinke Lansink, Juliëtta Alibrandi, Anass el Massoudi, Lars Bakker and Noor Eliens.
