Fletcher Hotels enters next phase of growth with sale to Sunday PropTech

5 November 2026

Fletcher Hotels is set to gain a new shareholder in Sunday PropTech. Egeria, which has held a majority stake in the hotel group since 2021, and the Fletcher management have reached an agreement with Sunday PropTech regarding the sale of 100% of the shares. The transaction combines Fletcher’s leading position in the Dutch hotel market with Sunday PropTech’s international experience in hotel operations, hospitality investments and asset management.

Since its foundation in 1997, Fletcher Hotels has grown to become the largest hotel group in the Netherlands. The company employs around 5,800 staff and has a portfolio of 170 three- and four-star hotels in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. This comprises 130 hotels owned by the company and 40 Fletcher Partner hotels. Partly as a result of more than sixty acquisitions over the past ten years, Fletcher has built up a strong market position and its own property portfolio in the Netherlands and Germany.

Sunday PropTech aims to build on Fletcher Hotels’ market position by investing further in the organisation, the hotels, technology and growth.

The completion of the transaction is subject to the usual conditions.

Houthoff advised Egeria and the management of Fletcher Hotels throughout the entire sale process. The Houthoff team was led by Philip van der Eijk and included, amongst others, Ivar Brouwer, Esther Bastein, Wynand van Seters, Grafton Cederburg, Elise Heikens, Diede van der Voort, Jasmijn Harms, Felix Geerebaert, Sam Vermeeren, Marjolein Heuten, Anouk Boutens and Gerrit Oosterhuis.
