Anouk Boutens

Anouk specialises in employment law and pensions law. Her practice focuses primarily on corporate employment law (mergers, acquisitions and reorganisations, and collective issues and disputes) and pensions law. As a member of Houthoff’s International Board, Anouk plays an active role in the firm’s international network and regularly coordinates cross-border matters within her practice areas. She frequently advises international clients and assists them with their employment and pensions law matters in the Netherlands. She also regularly advises on works council matters and commercial contracts related to these practice areas.

In addition, she regularly litigates in both practice areas, including in court and in arbitration cases. Anouk has extensive experience with employment disputes and assists clients in more complex (international) employment litigation matters. In the pensions field, she is involved in several major proceedings on topics such as indexation disputes, collective value transfers, amendments to pension schemes and mandatory affiliations with industry-wide pension funds.

  • Representation of Stellantis in proceedings brought by several former (nearly) retired employees who claimed indexation of their pension entitlements from Stellantis as employer and Aegon as pension administrator.
  • Advising AEQUITA on its acquisition of the European petrochemicals business of Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC).
  • Advised Bakker Goedhart on the establishment of Huis van Bakkers, a joint venture with Bakkerij Visser and Bakkerij BACU, which focuses on the supply of fresh bread and bread specialties to the 700+ Dutch and Belgian branches of Jumbo Supermarkten.
